  Measuring a chain size is a pretty straightforward process. Here are some of the methods to choose from:

• Measuring an existing necklace:

  • If you already have a necklace in a length that you love, lay it on a flat surface and use a tape measure or ruler to measure from end to end, including the clasp.

  • If it’s a necklace with several fastening options, measure from the clasp to the hook you wear it on most often.

  • Alternatively, if the necklace is too long for the ruler, simply fasten it to the hook you like to wear it on, pull it taught and measure from end to end – you’ll need to double this number, and that will give you the length.

• Measure with string, ribbon, or a tape measure:
