About this Spinning Flower Dermal Head

• Dermal Jewellery is also known as microdermals

• The dermal head is 10mm in size and has coloured crystal gems in it

• The screw for the dermal head is suited for 1.6mm dermal anchors, which is the standard thickness for most dermal jewellery

  • • • The flower has a hole in the centre and a screw that tightens into your dermal anchor

      • Once the screw is tightened, the hole in the flower allows it to spin

• The Spinning Flower Dermal Head is manaufactured from 316L surgical steel so will not rust, corrode, or stain the skin

• Surgical Steel contains nickel so these dermal heads may not be suitable for those with nickel allergies.

• These dermal heads are intended for healed dermal piercings

• These dermal heads are sold individually and do not include the dermal skin anchors

How to change dermal jewellery

Before you start

• Allow at least 3 months for healing before changing it the first time, and always wait for a mature piercing.

• You’ll need gloves, sterile gauze, antiseptic, and possibly pliers or a threaded jewelry tool.

• A friend or piercer can hold the base steady, which is often crucial.

Step-by-step guide

• Wash your hands thoroughly, then clean around the dermal with antiseptic and pat dry with sterile gauze.

• Grip the top firmly and turn it to the left (counter-clockwise).

  • • If it’s stuck, try a damp cloth or pliers, but do not force it, as this can twist the anchor and damage the tissue.

• Once loose, remove the old top and clean the post.

• Align the new top with the anchor’s threads and turn it to the right (clockwise) until it’s secure. Again, don’t overtighten.

• Look in a mirror to ensure it’s straight; if it doesn’t go in smoothly, unscrew and try again.

• You’re unsure about any part of the process.

• It’s a brand new piercing (first change)
